The start and finish lines will be by the overpass across from the mall on Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, MD. Parking will be available at the Columbia Mall across the street from the start line. Race management reserves the right to accept or reject any entry.
The half marathon relay exchange point will be on Grace Drive. CTA will provide bus transportation for those who need it (to the exchange point and/or back)
The minimum age to compete in the Half Marathon, the Half Marathon Relay, and all cycling events is 12.
The minimum age to compete in the 5K is 10.
The time limit to complete the Half Marathon is 3 hours 40 minutes from the start of the race. (That is approximately a 16 minute/mile pace).

ABOUT THE EVENT:
There is NO rain date, We Go Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In the case of a "Natural Disaster"/Local Incident/Terrorist Act, there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complementary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety. IPODS, headphones or anything that inhibits a participants hearing is not permitted.
2010 RACE
FEE STRUCTURE:
Half Marathon : $65 (Active Military or 18 and under receive $10 discount)
1/2 Marathon Relay: $85 (Active Military or 18 and under receive $10 discount)
5K : $30 (18 and under receive $5 discount)
Bike Rides : $60
CTA REFUND
POLICY:
On the registration form, you will be agreeing to the following:
I understand and will abide to the refund and change of entry policies:
* There are NO REFUNDS for this event – NO EXCEPTIONS.
* Entries are non transferable between other CTA events, or between athletes. Entries cannot be rolled over to another year.
* You may switch from one TriColumbia LifeFest event to another (i.e. cycling to running, 1/2 marathon to relay, running to cycling, etc.) There is a $25 admin fee for each change.
* If you register a relay, you MUST remain part of that relay. You may only substitute the other relay team member up to one month prior to the race. There is a $25 admin fee for EACH change.
* Selling of your race entry slot is strictly prohibited. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as, the entrant who purchased your slot will be unable to race in another CTA event for a minimum of 2 years.

RACE ENTRY CONFIRMATION & UPDATES:
Credit Card receipt or cancelled check will serve as confirmation of race entry and acceptance. Further event info will be available on the web site for you to print or will be emailed to you. Please go to your race entry online and check it for accuracy. All entries will be confirmed on our web site at www.tricolumbia.org.

ATHLETE AMENITIES for RUNNERS:
Health & Fitness Expo, Under Armor™ Technical Shirt, IPICO Chip Timing, Raffle prizes, Customized Finishers Medallion (for all pre-registered Half Marathon runners) and Awards, Prize Money to the overall winners and masters winners in the Half Marathon. Waterford Crystal to the overall Men's and Women's Half Marathon winners. Music throughout the run. Portalets at all aid stations. Lemon Lime Gatorade Endurance, water and Hammer Gel on course. Sports Massages and Medical Support. Great post race party and great music!
Cyclists will receive a Custom Technical Shirt, aid station support, Health & Fitness Expo and post event party. The cycling events are not timed and awards are not given. The aid stations will be at Folly Quarter Middle School and (for the Metric Century) there will be an additional aid station at Mt. Airy Bicycles and (for the 75K ride) there will be an additional aid station at Fosters Country Store on Frederick Road in Ellicott City. There will be water, Lemon Lime Gatorade Endurance, Bananas, and Hammer Gel. The 100k, 75k and 55K courses will be marked in GREEN. The roads are not closed to traffic, so please use caution!
