Tri Columbia Kidz Triathlon

July 27, 2008
Clemen's Crossing Pool - Columbia, Maryland, USA
For Youths Ages 7-14

 Thanks for racing with us.

Congratulations to all who participated in the inaugural TriColumbia Tri KIDZ Triathlon!

With the success of this race, we are planning to hold another event in 2009. We anticipate the field limit being increased to 200 “Kidz”.

The Columbia Triathlon Association, a 501c-3 non profit, would like to thank everyone who participated in the event. It was a beautiful day, the rain that had been predicted held off and the “athletes” were able to complete the event under ideal conditions. All finished with smiles and should be proud of what they accomplished.

Winning is finishing what you start!!

Event photos are available from Action Sports
If anyone has photos or videos they would like to share, please send to events@tricolumbia.org and we will try to post it.

Race results are available through the CTA web site from Sommer Sports. The staff at Sommer Sports has also provided the opportunity for each athlete to print out a Finisher's Certificate
Click on searchable results, then select a division and search.
When the results appear click on the certificate to the left of the athlete's name.
When their race info pops up, click on print PDF certificate at the top.
** You must have acrobat reader 8 or above to view the file.

Columbia Triathlon would like to thank all the sponsors, we ask that you support them:

Princeton Sports - Columbia, MD

The Columbia Association - Columbia, MD
Howard County Government and Police Services

We’d also like to thank our CTA staff who helped set up and break down the venue: Mike King, Rob Johnson and Gerry Boyle; the CTA race committee, our medical support staff (under the direction of Dr. Harry Oken, M.D., Chief of Medicine), Howard County General Hospital, and all of the wonderful people who volunteered their time to make this a success.

Again, we hope the day was both challenging and fun. Triathlon is an individual sport and one we hope will some day be “played” in all schools. For more info on the Sport of Triathlon, visit the National Triathlon Website and the MidAtlantic Regional Website.

We hope to see many of you, in support of moms, daughters and all women at The AFLAC Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, Aug 24, 2008 at Centennial Lake.
