Columbia, MD. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 6:30 The minimum age to compete is 7. The maximum age is 15. (Age is calculated as of 12/31/10). There is NO Saturday or race day sign-up. Field limit: First 350 ABOUT THE EVENT: There is NO rain date, We Go Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In the case of a " Natural Disaster"/Local Incident/Terrorist Act, there will be no Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must except any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complementary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety. Management further reserves the right to reject or accept any race entry. Eagleman will utilize a "wave" start format. RACE COURSES: Ages 7-8: Swim 50 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run .5 mile Ages 9-10: Swim 100 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run .5 mile Ages 11-12: Swim 150 yards, Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile Ages 13-15: Swim 200 yards, Bike 6 miles, Run 1.5 mile MAPS: Bike Maps - All Ages Bike Directions Run Map - Ages 7-8 & 9-10 Run Map - Ages 11-12. 13-15 year olds will add a .5 mile loop to this course. Run Directions Transition Map - All Ages RACE FEE STRUCTURE: Prior to March 1, 2010: USAT Members: $60 non-USAT Members: $65 At Packet Pickup, each child will either be required to show proof of an annual USAT membership or must pay the $5 fee. It is recommended that you go to USAT for Youths and obtain a one year youth membership prior to the race. Since every child must be an annual USAT member, this will save you time at packet pickup. If you pay the annual USAT fee with your entry, you cannot get a refund of this amount if your child attends a pre-race camp. So if you think your child will attend the pre-race camp, PAY THIS FEE LATER. After March 1, 2010: USAT Members: $70 non-USAT Members: $75 REFUND POLICY: There are NO REFUNDS for entry fees. Please understand this policy prior to registering! RACE ENTRY CONFIRMATION/UPDATES: Your cancelled check, or your confirmation email if you pay by credit card, will serve as confirmation of race entry and acceptance, and the race entry list serves as additional confirmation of your registration. RACE AMENITIES: Technical T (it runs about one size small), imprinted swim cap, custom finishers medallion, custom awards, post race pasta gala, great music, great volunteer staff, accurate and safe race course. MANDATORY Packet Pickup and Check-In: When: Friday, July 23, 2010, 2pm-7pm, or Saturday, July 24, 2010, 9am-3:30pm Where: RoadRunner Sports 6630-C Marie Curie Drive Elkridge, MD 21075 (410) 290-2906 Parent/Guardian MUST accompany child to pick up packet. All pre-registered children must attend packet pickup in person (with a parent/guardian) due to insurance and safety purposes. At this time, you will be issued a unique wrist band which will be affixed and is to be worn through to the end of the race on Sunday. Each child participating in the Kids Triathlon must be a USAT member, and each participant will be required to show proof of an annual USAT membership. It is recommended that you go to USAT for Youths and obtain a one-year youth membership prior to the race. MANDATORY RACE TALK: When: Saturday, July 24, 2010, 4:30pm Where: Clemens Crossing Elementary School -- hill between school fields and pool 10320 Quarterstaff Road Columbia, MD 21044 Important race information will be discussed.
