As of 6:30 am EDT on June 23, 2010, the water temperature in Centennial Lake was 84° F.Registration for the 2010 Celebration Sprint Triathlon is now closed. LATEST SWIM, WATER TEMPERATURE, & WETSUIT INFORMATION: As of Wednesday, June 23rd, at 6:30am, the water in Centennial Lake was 84 degrees F. Extreme heat is expected on race day with air temperatures in the 90's and high humidity dominating the weather. Heat advisories are expected. Therefore, race management, in consultation with the medical team, has determined that WETSUITS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES as their use would constitute a clear medical and safety danger (hyperthermia). Those wearing wetsuits will NOT be allowed to start. However, athletes may use a USAT-approved skinsuit or speedsuit. More women than ever are empowered to "Tri", and are living and loving the lifestyle that IS Triathlon! CTA and the Celebration Sprint Triathlon are proud to support this trend and the powerful women behind the movement! CTA is excited to announce The Celebration Sprint Triathlon race! The event will take place in Centennial Park in Howard County, Maryland. The swim takes place in Centennial Lake, the bike course follows the rolling hills of Howard County and the run takes place mostly through the paths of Centennial Park.
