team COLEEN and ERIN
The Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship Fund, Inc. was established in 2002 to preserve the memory of two remarkable young Catholic women.
The lives of Colleen and Erin Marlatt were cut tragically short when their car was swept away by a fierce tornado that tore through the University of Maryland College Park Campus on September 24, 2001. Though brief, their lives were filled with faith and love, and through their example of Christian living they touched deeply the lives of many. This scholarship fund has become a focal point for family and friends of Colleen and Erin to share in the celebration of two lives well lived.
Catholic education was a central part of their lives, and the purpose of the Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship is to give thanks to those teachers or administrators who have selflessly embraced the call to the ministry of Catholic education. Partial scholarships to attend a Catholic high school or the University of Maryland College Park are made available annually on a competitive basis to dependent children of teachers or administrators who serve in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
