Expose Your Product To Thousands of Athletes at TriColumbia Events
Why Choose TriColumbia Events?
TriColumbia is the Mid Atlantic’s leader in endurance event production, attracting more than 11,000 athletes of all ability levels each year from across the triathlon spectrum and around the world, as well as thousands of spectators, VIP’s and media outlets.
Over the past three decades, TriColumbia has garnered an international reputation for excellence. The Athleta Iron Girl Columbia, which sold out in just 3 hours, has become the largest of its kind anywhere; and The Columbia Triathlon, a staple race to both amateur and professional triathletes, has been awarded a Regional USA Triathlon Championship 10 times. TriColumbia’s world-renowned Ironman 70.3 EagleMan race has the very exclusive distinction of being one of the few qualifying races in the world offering rare and enviable slots for the Ford Ironman Championship held in Kona, Hawaii and the Ironman 70.3 Championship in Lake Las Vegas.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3), TriColumbia gives back to our community by donating both in direct contributions as well as by providing fundraising team racing opportunities for many local, and national charitable and nonprofit organizations. As a result, TriColumbia is responsible for more than $3 million raised for groups such as, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Arc of Howard County, the Ulman Cancer Fund, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, The Blazeman Foundation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation, to name just a few.
Who Are TriColumbia Triathletes?
According to a recent study by USA Triathlon, triathletes come from high socio-economic backgrounds with median incomes of $126,000. In fact, more than half of TriColumbia athletes report their income as “More than $100,000,” showing a higher average income than the broader USAT study.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that triathlons attract goal driven, success-minded people who find this style of racing an extension of their lifestyle. Approximately 70% of TriColumbia participants reported working in a professional capacity (accounting, banking, engineering, healthcare, IT, legal, research, etc.)
Although the average age is 38, older athletes reportedly do more races - a demographic combination on par with another high net-worth group, golf and tennis players.
What Are TriColumbia Vendor Opportunities?
Endurance Event Expos
TriColumbia endurance events are preceded by a two-day merchandise and information exposition. Expos are held at the same location as the mandatory athlete packet pick up, and provide an excellent opportunity for companies to market and/or sell their products and services. Generally participants come to packet pickup and expos with a friend, spouse or relative, thereby doubling or tripling vendors’ ability to reach consumers.
Race Day Exhibit Space
Some products or services may be better suited to marketing or selling on race day, at the race venue. So we also offer exhibit space near the excitement of the finish line.
Goodie Bag Insertion
Each event participant receives a race information packet and a “Goodie Bag” filled with products and special offers. Insertion of your product or literature provides another excellent marketing opportunity. This is your opportunity to have every athlete experience your product firsthand.
11,000+ Event Participants
Majority of Participants Come From MD, DC, DE, PA, VA, NJ, WV
