Robert Vigorito
Nearly 3 decades ago, CTA's Founder, President, Race Director and 6-time Hawaii Ironman finisher, Robert "Vigo" Vigorito had a vision to produce endurance events, especially triathlons, at the highest possible levels of challenge, safety, and integrity, and to make lasting and positive contributions to participating athletes, to the sport of triathlon, and to the community at large. Vigo was involved in the early 80's in establishing a regulating body for Triathlon known as Tri-Fed USA, which was the precursor to USAT. He co-founded the current USAT-MA Region in 1993, and is the current USAT Mid Atlantic Council Chair. Through his passion for triathlons and his commitment to helping others embrace a healthy lifestyle, Vigo continues to inspire and to be inspired by the athletes he reaches, and the charities and causes TriColumbia supports.
