Maryland State Triathlon Challenge

Four epic races have partnered to launch a new hallmark championship series open to all triathletes in 2010 – the “Maryland State Triathlon Challenge!”  The championship series rules are very simple – athletes must participate in both the olympic/international distance-events: 

May 23 Columbia Triathlon and September 18 SavageMan 30.0 Triathlon;
OR,
both long-course events:  June 13 EagleMan 70.3 Triathlon and September 19 SavageMan 70.0 Triathlon.

Very prestigious male/female and relay awards will be provided in the following categories:
Junior: 19 and Under
Age Group: 20-39
Masters Male: 40-59; Masters Female: 40-54
Grand Masters Male: 60+; Grand Masters Female: 55+
Clydesdale: 200 lbs.+; Athena: 150 lbs.+
Paratriathlete: Physically Challenged Individuals
Relay Teams: Male; Female; and Co-Ed (Identical team members only)

The race producers - the Columbia Triathlon Association and the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation – are very pleased to announce this classic championship challenge open to U.S. and international triathletes who seek prestigious and unique distinction awarded for competitive excellence in Maryland’s premier world-renown, cult-classic triathlons.  Champions in all categories will receive exclusive signature-design trophies and complimentary registrations for 2011 events.
