Jamie Roehder with Team ASA is a great athlete - She has a HUGE fear of the water and is a Mom of 3. She lost her father in a drowning accident and step father in a motorcycle accident. So she is swimming for her dad, biking for her step-dad and running for herself! At the practice swim, Jamie came out of the water bawling and Vigo took her in his arms - it was a site to see!!!

Leslie Rogers, Director of the center is here today competing on a realy team in support of the center, as is Anita Broccolino and Tracy Broccolino. Anita is a 10 year Lymphoma survivor and is running for her Aunt Donna Broccolino who lost a 4 year battle with brain cancer, and for her friend Janine Heiner who was just diagnosed a few weeks ago and about to have a full mastectomy... all with no job and no health insurance. Anita founded Team Conquer.

She was in the pool 10 days after surgery and is poised to be an Iron Girl today! Also Debi Vreeland is in this wave. Debi has lost 117 pounds. This is her very first triathlon!
