While training for this year's EnduraFit Ironman 70.3 EagleMan, 51-year-old Tucker Echols of Kensington, Md. (and WTOP Radio) was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Despite the diagnosis, Tucker continued to train even through three rounds of chemotherapy. He thought to himself, "Why not give EagleMan a shot, and why not turn training for it into a fundraiser to find cures for other cancers for those who are not as lucky as me." Tucker has reached more than half of his fundraising goal of $30,000 in donations for cancer research.

Tucker says, "I race because I am grateful I can. I'm raising money so, hopefully, others can feel that gratitude."

Just days following today's race, Tucker will undergo his 4th round of chemo. Best of luck today Tucker! We wish you the best.
